I have no idea how to pronounce the name of this truck, but it is affectionately known as “EL T” so that’s what I usually call it. We were happy to see El T was parked at Wissahickon Brewery when we stopped in for some beer, so we decided to try the tacos. I had previously looked up this food truck before, and was excited to learn they were a family-owned business. They had a lot to choose from, but I had a hankering for some Birria (not shown on their menu below).

We also ordered the Chorizo Con Papas and a side of chips and guacamole. We very much enjoyed our tacos, and I was shocked to see I had not three but FOUR birria tacos. I’m not sure if this was an error or on purpose, but I was not complaining! I ended up having enough leftovers to eat them for lunch the next day! The consomme it came with was flavorful and spiced just right. The chorizo and potato tacos were tasty as well, and we enjoyed the hot sauce that came with our tacos. As for the guacamole, it needed a bit of salt, and we were not really a fan of how it was served (with a big scoop of guac on top of the chips). It made it hard to carry it home, plus we had a lot of chips we had to throw away when we couldn’t finish the guacamole. I would have preferred the guacamole to be placed in a separate container, but that’s just a personal preference for someone who loves leftover chips 🙂
