The folks over at Teassert have expanded their operation. I previously reviewed their other truck in this post, but since then they have opened a brick and mortar shop in Chinatown, featuring Thai ice cream roll and bubble tea. Just recently, a new yellow truck has appeared on Norris Street at Liacouras Walk. This is a welcome addition to the Temple campus, since their last truck was splitting time between the campuses of UPenn, Drexel, and Temple, and we rarely got our turn. They have also added teriyaki combos to their menu, so you can get a meal and bubble tea in once place! Sign me up!

During my previous visit at the old truck, I wasn’t very impressed with the food, but I decided to give them another chance with the teriyaki, which I love. With the teriyaki combos, you have your choice of beef, chicken, tofu, or shrimp, and they are all only $8. The combos include the teriyaki over white rice, a salad, and a bubble tea. That’s a pretty good deal. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki combo.
The teriyaki was quite good, although a few pieces of broccoli or other veggies would be nice. The “salad” was just lettuce and tomato drizzled with the teriyaki sauce too. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the portion was a good size. The bubble tea was pretty large as well and the boba were soft and sweet. I enjoyed everything I had and will definitely be back to try the beef or chicken and all of the bubble tea flavors.
